Back from my trip.  OMG, car rides?  I'm so over them.

On the other hand, now I know how Sam and Dean must feel when they're trying to find a place to stay at for the night.  More on that later, probably my next post when I update with lots of pictures of pretty nature scenes.

So yes, I'm alive.  And spent so much money during the trip.  (And for some reason Amazon.com sent me 2 Battlestar Galactica season 4 soundtracks when I know I only ordered one and it showed up on my credit card account info as 1 CD I ordered?  IDK.  Maybe some glitch in the amazon.com system happened, but I gave the extra one to my brother, who was probably happy about that.  Stiil.  When I realized I got 2 CDs I checked my credit card account just to make sure there was no more funny business going on, as I've become paranoid about using my credit card for anything other than school payments/car gas now.  I use money--paper money--when buying books at Barnes and Noble.  And I hate buying anything over $100 and I need to get a job seeing as my grandparents can't pay all their children and grandchildren $1,000 or something like that anymore.

See, my grandparents own a lot of property, I think, and they have lots of money, from what I understand, and once a year in the summer they give us all money, but what with Obama having been elected (still yay! about that, BTW.  My grandparents didn't want me to vote for Obama, but oh well, I did, and now that's in the past), they can't do that anymore because of tax reasons or other monetary reasons or something like that? so I really need to get a job.

Not that I was depending on their money like crazy, but I do need to get a job.  I want a job.  I don't want to have to rely on my grandparents' money anymore.

To get back to the trip, it was crazy fun, crazy long, super tired (had a dream where I had a dream that a Battlestar Galactica movie had been made and I woke up from my dream within a dream and put on my dream-Facebook status that I had a dream where there had been a BSG movie and I woke up from real dream thinking, 'I should Facebook status my dream within a dream.  It'd be crazy'.  But I decided against it, as that would make me seem more crazy), and I need to clean my room and my clothes and get all my pics transferred to my laptop and organized.  So until next time, peace.  *is hippy-ish, lava lamp hasn't been turned on in ages*

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince review )

In other news, I got a lava lamp.  Yay!  My inner hippy self is satisfied.

Um...I still need to watch Merlin from Sunday.

I finished watching season 3 of Stargate Atlantis.  I don't think I could've handled watching it live.  All the season finales end with a 'To Be Continued'.  I would've hated waiting for the next season.  Which is why I like getting caught up with shows on DVD.  And Rodney grew to be my favorite character.  After Carson, you know, (should I put this behind a cut?  Does everyone know what happens to Carson?) died.  I like John as well.  And Ronon's grown on me too.  As well as Weir.  Don't like Teyla for some reason :/

Hopefully after I finish getting caught up with Burn Notice season 2 I can go back to watching season 4 of SGA.

School stuff )

Oh.  And I made a new icon.  A Battlestar Galactica based one because I like Leoben.

Okay, I admit, I haven't posted since February.  Although I have been keeping with reading my friend's list and stuff...but I haven't made an effort to write something because sometimes I feel like writing something and sometimes I just feel too lazy to type.

Anyway, this will probably be a bunch of episode/show reviews sort of entry, since my real life involves: school, homework, choir.  Plus nothing really exciting has happened in my life to garner an entry involving my life.

Castle )Dollhouse )

Battlestar Galactica )

And I finally broke down and got a twitter 'cause it seems like all the rage right now.  And I wanted to try it out.

And with that, I'll go do my homework right now because I've got essays and projects and math homework to do yay.  (I'm already counting down the days to spring break--I need a break from school.)

Oh my gosh, it's been so long since I've watched a proper Battlestar Galactica episode.  Only because I still need to get caught up with season 3/4.0 and tonight I just decided 'what the heck, I'll watch the last episodes even though I haven't watched season 3/4.0 yet' (strangely enough I still know what's going on; although them finding earth was a little off-putting; didn't know they had found it yet).

Anyway.

What the frak? (Hee, always wanted to say that :D) )
Okay, off to watch Psych now.

And then choir workday tomorrow *grumble* from 9 AM-4 PM.

Ooh!  My friend's just started watching Firefly (I think the beginning of this sentence is grammatically incorrect) and it's so fun to have someone to talk Firefly with again :) she said her favorite characters were Kaylee and Wash and she said it was the greatest TV show and didn't understand why it was cancelled.

*sigh*
You know, the only reason why I'm not updating that much anymore is because I have nothing to type, really.  Nothing interesting is going on in my life, and I'm not really the type who records her thoughts on any new episodes of TV shows.

So the only thing that ever happened to me this week was finals for first semester, which I am thankful to say are now through.  And this weekend has gone really well because I have no homework, basically, so I'm getting a lot of stuff done.  Well, not really.  I'm back to playing Oblivion and all; Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds.  I also watching this one show mom recommended to me, which is called Bordertown.  Basically, from what I've read on the show, it lasted three seasons.  And each episode, when they aired on TV, were half-hour episodes.  So far I like it, except for the part where the DVD set is made up of two episodes from season 1 and then it jumps to the episodes from season 3.  That really pisses me off.

So far I like it (like I said before).  For some odd reason, the U.S. marshall reminds me highly of Jayne.  And Bordertown is about this town that sits on the border of Canada/U.S.

I'm also getting through NCIS like wildfire.  I still need to watch the Studio 60 episode from Monday and Eric's been forever bugging me about catching up with Battlestar Galactica season 3.  Every time he's like, 'Watch Battlestar Galactica and tape NCIS instead.'  And each time I've been, 'No way.  I'm not going to do that.'  Well, not exactly the words I'd say, but each time I would say, 'I'll catch up with it on my own time.  Quit bothering me!!'

And then he'd leave the subject alone until the following day, in which he'd again proceed to bug me about catching up with the season.  But, truly, I will catch up with season 3 on my own time.  I mean I've already just finished season 2 (I've been...slow, you could call it *cough*NCISrulesmyworld*cough*), so I'm planning to get to season 3 as quick as possible.  Besides that, I still need to catch up with Heroes, Jericho, Ghost Hunteres, some of NCIS from season 4, Ghost Whisperer, and NUMB3RS.

Oh yeah, I now love the Dresden Files.  And Monk.  (The Sean Astin episode?  My dad and I watched that.  And next week has Steven Weber.  Whom I love.  Immensely.  But that's just me.)

Now that the show is on, it makes me want to read the books.  Which I have.  Only the first book.  I've got the second book in my possession, but I haven't read it yet.  I'm hoping that this summer I can take care of all my reading, seeing that I have a lot to read now.

EDIT: And today I got another phone call from Red Cross, asking me to donate blood.  My answers each time that phone call comes?  No.  It's not that I didn't really like donating blood; I loved the feeling of potentially helping out someone, but if the Red Cross is at anywhere except school, then I'm not going.  So far the next one at school is February 23rd, which I'm at a crossroads on this one because the last time I donated blood, I fainted afterwards.  I'm keen on donating again, but this time I'm not that keen on fainting, seeing that it was a scary experience.

Movie every Friday?
Battlestar Galactica is like a movie.

You've got your excellent cinamotography, the talented actors, the exhilerating storylines that make you sit on the edge of your seat, the romances, the fights, the CGI...

but most of all, you've got your music, which makes the one-hour long TV show seem even more of a movie than just an hourly thing.

That being said, the episodes Resurrection Ship parts 1 and 2,  when watched back-to-back, are as exciting, or better, than a movie.

Convention
Okay, so there's this Battlestar Galactica convention in August, which takes place in Burbank, CA.  Guess who's going to go to it?  (Not guess-which-star's-going-to-be-there sort of guess but guess-which-person-is-going-to-buy-tickets-and-attend-and-see-the-stars kind of guess.  It's confusing.)  Yeah, so come on, guess!  Yep, I am...which I'm really excited about, but this time...I have to really spend money wisely.  Last time it was all-buy this! buy that!  This time I think I'm just going to stick with the fanzines, because fanzines are love, t-shirt, action figure.  Then that'll be it.

Maybe trading cards because the Serenity trading cards I got don't have River!  It has Wash--twice!  Frakking manufacturers...

All right--I got a haircut.  And highlights.  And I look way so much older.  And tomorrow is the first class of this trig class I'm taking at a local college to fufill the prerequisite(?) for pre-calc honors for next year for high school and Friday is Pirates of the Caribbean 2.  So going to see that.

'Night.  Bye!

Whoa...
I haven't updated in a long time.  Whoa...(if one counts four days or so a 'long time').  So what happened between June 28 and June 3 for me?  Well, for one, I finished season 2.0 of Battlestar Galactica.  Um...which was a bad idea, because now I want to see more episodes of season 2, but 2.5 isn't out yet, I want it to be out, so I'm just quenching my Battlestar Galactica thirst, at the moment, by re-watching episodes I really love (like Act of Contrition, The Hand of God, Flight of the Phoenix, to name a few.  Especially The Hand of God.  Wonderful scene between Lee and Adama and wonderful music to add.  Love the music).  Is it October yet?

(Funny, last year I was all 'is it September yet?' 'cause last year, you know, Serenity.  This year I can't wait until October.  And September.  And other months.)

Anyway, I finished Poltergeist: The Legacy (finally!  the last episode was...dragging out, for lack of a better word.  Methinks I'm losing interest in it with my new-found discovery of other shows.)  I'm also near near near the end of the first season of NCIS.  ("Don't say anything, DiNozzo."  "I wasn't going to say anything." "Don't think it." "Too late.")  I think I'm going to say this once--Terry O'Quinn.  He is a remarkable actor.  I was watching Enigma and he was guest starring in the episode (I didn't see the episode before.  Except for one time.  And that was just the scene where Gibbs outwitted those two FBI agents) and at the end I was crying.  Nearly.  Nearly crying because Terry O'Quinn has to deliver such an amazing performance.  I hate him for making me cry, but at the same time I love him.

And Bete Noire--Gibbs=scary when he doesn't get the bad guy.  Makes me actually feel sorry for FBI Agent Forenell (did I spell that right?) whenever he has to face Gibbs.  And the continuation of Gibbs searching for the terrorist in the episode The Truth Is Out There=awesome.

I probably should've mentioned this is all spoiler-y at this point.  Oh well...

Battlestar Galactica and other stuff
So a few days ago I got hooked on Battlestar Galactica.  I just want to take a second for thanking my friend for that smart move, because it's now set me back finishing NCIS and Numb3rs and MacGyver and I just love it.  :)

Oh well--I love watching new shows on DVD, so I'm just ecstatic on getting hooked on Battlestar Galactica.  (Sure, I still need to finish NCIS and I want to get started on Numb3rs and MacGyver.  Also, I'm just recently into Stargate SG-1, so that will be difficult, but I'm almost finished with Poltergeist: The Legacy, so once I do finish that I should have a free hand).

I also want to get some reading done this summer, but based on the many shows I'm getting introduced to this summer, that will have to be put on hold.  (Such a shame; I was so getting into A Farewell to Arms by Hemingway.  Then again, I don't really like it that much; the main character is too much without emotion.)

Here be a cut.  Some Battlestar Galactica stuff.  Yeah.

Oh by the way, new icon!  i made it.  Sure I had to steal that screencap from somewhere because I think my disc thing in my laptop is being all screwy.  Something's wrong with it that's prohibiting me from playing my DVDs.  So I can't cap anymore screens (:D) until I a) get a new laptop in the faroff future b) spill water on my laptop and get a new one or c) none of the above.  Deal with it and wait it out until someone tells me what's wrong it it so I/they can fix it.
