So, today was an amazing day. All right, that's it! No more 'so' at the beginning of journal entries! *fumes* All right...let's start this again, shall we?

Today was an amazing day, as far as Sundays go. All right, so maybe I didn't get a part in the musical Godspell, which I actually expected, seeing as I didn't even do good on the audition (hey, at least now I know what to do next year!) but all in all, rehersal was still good.

I got to shout at Paul Roundy *smiles* and Mallory *smiles again* there was some shouting involved today. I had to act...angry and all. I hope I did good. I'm thinking next time do a 'Spike-let-me-Rest-in-Peace-angry' to help the angerness and then soften...

did I mention I'm not good at acting at all? But hey, this year I'm learning. Last year it was all trials and errors, this year I'm gonna go all out!

Okay, for something non-totally-choir-related, we were sort of skipping around this pole. And Mallory was all like, 'Do the oh's!' and I'm wondering...'from Rent!' she says, and I say, 'Oh,' smiling a bit, 'which song's that from again?' and then she says 'Santa Fe' and I'm all like 'I love that song!' and then I got Over the Moon stuck in her head.

Me and my friends are weird. But I love them nonetheless.

Oh yeah bonus! I got the Godspell schedule and there are no days that will conflict with my baby-sitting, so I'm free to baby-sit Andreas and Natalia(?) on Thursdays February 9 to March 30.

Sadly, Karen Fox's husband got a job in Canada, so they're all moving back to Canada come the end of school. Okay, Karen and her two kids; apparently the husband will be up in Canada come February.

It makes me sad that they're moving back to Canada; okay, I only knew them breifly, and only baby-sat for the kids one time last year, but their like family, what with mom baby-sitting Andreas and Natalia(?) when they were younger. Actually, this whole incident what with the family moving back up to Canada spurred on a recent dream where Mallory, Khrystina, Monica, and Sarah were all moving up to Canada. Darn dream!

Kids=energetic
Well, I baby-sat.

Let's just say that these kids are very energetic and, as mom put it, 'can give anybody a headache'. Seeing as I had a headahce last night after baby-sitting, plus this morning, I say that they did give me a headache (all those times I insited for them to go to bed. They were an hour off their bedtime and very roudy. I had to give Natalia a piggy-back ride to her bedroom to convince her to go to bed, and then she came back and insisted on a leg ride. So, I did that, and while telling Andreas to clean up after he had some juice, she came back, insisting again on a leg ride. *sighs* I don't know how Mom handled them when she baby-sat them!

Anyway, I finally convinced Natalia to get into her pajamas and brush her teeth, which she did. Andreas, I had trouble with. I convinced that I would juggle for him if he changed into his pajamas and brush his teeth, which I did, badly, might I add. I still need practice juggling (it's not as easy as it looks).

So, I got both of them to bed and Natalia kept on asking me what my name was...she finally remembered, of course, after their mom and dad came home.

It was very...energy racking, let me tell you. I would do it again, however, just to learn patience from them :) I was impatient by 9:45, an hour after their designated bedtime. I was really happy, joyful even, when they did finally get to bed.

Plus, I got $20. Hmm...now, that made me really happy.

(I also made friends with the two cats--the kids said they scratched and stuff, around strangers, but I let the cats come to me and decided whether they wanted to be petted or not. It's all a matter of trust--building it up and all, for cats, that is.)

Well, I called in a got the baby-sitting job. I was a bit nervouse at first, but my fears faded away and I called and got the job for this Friday. Go me...

Anyway, Mom baby-sat the kids before. I'm dealing with Andreas, age 7, and Natalia, age 5. They know me...if they have a good memory, that is, and I barely know them, but if I can watch Kaleb then I can surely watch two kids. (The family is Canadian--I hardly knew that. I was surprised when mom told me that, as I hardly heard an accent when I spoke to Karen, the mother. I wasn't shocked, but more surprised, sort of a 'what are they doing out here in the US then?' 'cause Mom told me that they had no immediate family around them, much less in the US.)(And Karen has rocks...lots of rocks, and dinosaur bones!)(I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was younger--my dreams were shattered when both Mom and Dad told me that it hardly paid money, but hey...I'm leaving that job open for the future in case I still want to scrounge around in the dirt digging up dinosaur bones.)

Babysitting
I've got a baby-sitting job this Friday...me!...I can't believe it...

I have never baby-sat before in my life, except for those times when mom had her baby-sitting job, but even then I could never watch a kid unless mom was around (I was too young of age, legally, I think) and plus all I could do was change diapers :\ so, basically, this is my first job of baby-sitting alone.

But it's kind of a plus seeing that mom baby-sat the kids before. So, it's like I sort of know them without actually knowing them...if that makes sense, of course.

All I have to do is call Karen tomorrow and say that I'll take the job, this Friday, from 7:30 to 10:30 (and what do you know--she asked about me first! I am so qualified to baby-sit! I hope.) and negotiate what she'll pay me, of course.

And then I need to go over the basics. I can change a diaper, sure, I can tell the kids a story, play with them for a while, but controlling them, sending them off to bed, will be hard. Mom already told me that they'll probably be excited, me baby-sitting them and I can let them get off on a few things, but to set up a limit, like if they get out of bed after they go to bed.

I should probably bring a few books to read after they settle off to bed...and knitting stuff. I'm pretty sure I can start the Jayne hat this week, with proper instructions on how to work the circular needles from mom, though.

I will be anxious all this week...

Funny story now: our kitchen faucet broke! It happened unexpectedly, even though we knew the faucet was broken. Something happened, Kelly was washing his dish, and suddenly I look up (I was scooping out some ice cream--celebration dessert that I finished driving with an instructor today) and this arch of water flows nearly across my face, hitting into a wall. Thankfully, before it could cause further damage, Kelly stopped the water, tears in his eyes, all wet (my glasses got wet and part of my face also) nearly, and we reported to mom what had happened (my excuse as to what happened: 'an Immortal took its head and the Quickening absorbed into the nearest kitchen appliance!' or something along that line, because: head broken off the faucet, water flowing out of faucet, the image just gave me an idea of Highlander at that moment :) okay, I'll stop being geeky now).

Anyway, so now we have a new faucet. Yay...
