So Dad got me the Marx Brothers silver screen collection for Christmas; it features the first five movies they did, the ones before Zeppo left the group. And so I'm watching each movie day by day, and so hopefully I can get to the ever popular/famous (or so I've heard) movie Duck Soup tomorrow. Because every time I've mentioned the Marx brothers to Sarah, she's been telling me to watch Duck Soup. There, Sarah, I'm going to watch it, all right!? (But she's not here; if she were, then I'd say, 'I'm going to watch it, I'm going to watch it...' and then I would slink away in silence and watch it. I actually had a dream where I told Sarah I owned the movie, but I hadn't watched it yet. Matter of fact, I've been having a lot of strange dreams this week; I chalk it up to the See's Candy chocolate for making me having such strange and weird dreams.)
Anyway, so it's a Marx brothers movie a day. So far my favorite have got to be Monkey Business (you know, it's pronounced 'Bis-e-ness', so it totally baffles me why it should look like 'business'. Answer me that, my friends, just answer me that...), followed by Animal Crackers, Horse Feathers (although those two may be considered a tie), and then The Cocoanuts. Then after I watch Duck Soup tomorrow, the list will change.
In fact, tomorrow (in honor of New Year's Eve), I think I'm going to do a Marx brothers marathon consisting of me and myself (unless you guys want to come. If you know where I live. Which you probably don't). Then on New Year's, after the viewing of the Rose Bowl parade with my grandparents and family, I'll watch the Blues Brothers or possibly Back to the Future. And this weekend I'll do my homework. And then I'll make the New Year's resolutions.
And then I'll go back to being lazy and playing Oblivion and watching The Dead Zone/Supernatural (first season)/Night Stalker/Adventures of Brisco County Junior/Jericho/Heroes/Battlestar Galactica.
Actually, in one episode of Brisco County, Jr., you can see a young Mercedes McNab (she plays Harmony on Buffy/Angel). It's the episode The Brooklyn Dodgers and she looks not as threatening as Harmony. And she's younger, too.
