So I just realized I haven't posed a single thing since the New Year's. Blame it on school starting back up.
So what happened since the 31st? First it was the Sci-Fi Club party, which was undoubtedly a big success. There was a contest going on (okay, two: a Halo contest between teams and a naming the action figures, which were mostly of Star Trek and Star Wars origin, although there were a couple Buffy, Lost, and one Firefly) and we traded Secret Santas (well, most of us. Some of us forgot to bring a gift or buy one. Thankfully, I brought mine, but my Secret Santa wasn't there so I had to give it to him at school).
Now school. Is boring. I hate being back. Thank God this week is a three day weekend, because I have so much to do for finals for the week after next.
Also, I got my friend seriously hooked on Buffy. It's like what happened with Firefly. She knows all the characters, she wants to be spoiled (the other day she was asking me how Xander had an eyepatch. Julie Ta and I were making up various stories about how Xander got the eyepatch. My story was, 'Buffy was drunk and she thought Xander was a vampire. So when she went to stake him, she accidentally hit his eye instead of his heart.' Yeah, we were being funny), she likes the magazine I showed her, she wants to be quizzed out of the magazines, she got all seasons of Buffy and Angel for Christmas, a Buffy Once More, With Feeling soundtrack although she hasn't watched the movie yet, a Spike cardboard stand-up similar to the one I have.
Overall, I've created a monster. Which happened when I showed Monica Firefly and she let Sarah watch Firefly and now everyone in the club knows/likes Firefly (ha! I bet I won the 'How many people did you convert to Firefly-ism?' contest).
Maybe it's Joss Whedon. Maybe he has this remarkable ability to make people like his shows. That must be it.
And with that being said, I started collecting the Buffy magazines since the beginning of 2003. End result? I have 44 issues (if you combine the Buffy and Angel magazines that I have in my possession). That's nearly half of 100. If the magazines don't end, I think I'll try going for 100 or 50 issues, because that would be so totally awesome.
