It smells slightly like Christmas and holidays and the end of school (in 3 weeks. I am so thankful it's almost going to end).
:/ I have been busy last month. NaNoWriMo, numerous projects which I still have this month (one due next Tuesday for English, but I think I can get out 7-10 pgs worth of material for the paper), real life stuff.
This month also looks to be quite busy until I'm finsihed with school/holiday stuff. Good thing is I'm about half-way done with Christmas shopping :) I bought my cat and dog a stocking for each of them, because my dog gets too many toys each year and doesn't play with about half of them :/ so I bought him a stocking and a large toy. Meanwhile, I'm knitting a dog sweater for him for his birthday (Dec. 19), which hopefully I'll get finished with before his birthday comes along.
(Sad that his birthday is a day before mine :/ we didn't plan it that way, we just bought him at the pet store and we happened to see his birthday was Dec. 19.)
Anyway, I always do this Christmas gift meme thing. I'll try to get gifts for everyone else this year, if I can. I can't really make any promises, though. But I'll try.
Rules
1. Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from something simple and fandom-related to something really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
2. Surf around your friends list to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf - to spread the joy.
3. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. Amazon wishlist here.
2. Icons? Of anything. Any show I like, such as Dollhouse. Primarily Dollhouse, actually.
3. Donate money to a charity. It can be your favorite charity, I'm not really picky or looking for evidence you donated :) just donate. (In other news, I bidded on an item from the californiabrowncoats group who were doing a two-week auction of Firefly/Serenity related stuff and half of the proceeds go to Equality Now. So I guess that counts as my donation for the month.)(Not that I'm trying to sound all important or anything. I'm really honestly not. As long as its a donation in some form, whether directly or indirectly, is fine with me.)
4. Primeval icon of Connor. I keep on seeing the ads for Alice on the SyFy channel and Andrew Lee Potts (who plays Connor) is in it and each time they show him I always have an overwhelming urge to watch Primeval :/ IDK why. Connor is my favorite character, though, so maybe that's why.
5. I have been on a Muppets kick recently. More specifically, The Muppet Show. (I think it has to do with buying these 2 Muppet CDs at the convention and it sort of rekindled(?) my interest in the Muppets). Fozzie is awesome. Scooter is growing to be my favorite. Rowlf I always love. So icons of them or something?
6. Related to The Muppet Show, there was this one song Scooter sang on the show called Mr. Bass Man and the song interested me. If one of you happens to have the song, the Muppet version, maybe send me it via e-mail? (I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask, at least, even if someone doesn't have it. I'd buy it on CD off Amazon but all the CDs the song is on are like 'wow' in terms of price. Expensive.)
7. Sanity for the end of school and finals coming up. Please.
8. Cold weather this Christmas. I don't want it to be hot and windy, which it has been in past years.
9. Bad Horse. And a Freeze Ray to freeze the world with.
10. Can you tell I have nothing else to add to his list? How about Merlin gets released on DVD here in the US--I'd like that very much.
