So I've just read that The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is being released on DVD. And that it will include all the seasons and be sold not in retail. I'm just worrying about how much money it'll cost when it does come out on DVD. So the only reason I'm happy about this is 'cause of David McCallum. And that the show looks interesting, because my mom has a VHS tape with two episodes on it and I've watched them and it looks interesting to me. So I'm happy about this news.
Of course, I'm also happy that Studio 60, The Black Donnellys, and Jericho are being released on DVD this fall as well.
But overall, all these DVDs I need/want of shows that I absolutely adore make me worry about the upcoming Christmas, which I know is a gazillion months away, but one can't wonder how much getting just a bunch of DVDs for presents will cost.
However, thankfully my birthday's near Christmas, because I probably can get half of the DVDs I want in that time frame. Ordered used. Off Amazon. Because used rules (well, not all the time. But it's cheap.)
Also, I've been watching The Muppet Show lately and it is so cute. Really. It is. And I just watched the episode with Twiggy in it, and to me Twiggy I know from her appearance on The Blues Brothers and one just can't help but think of Elwood's line: "Uh, you want I should wash those dead bugs off your windshield?" and Jake's in the background drinking/smoking and Elwood had just nicked stuff from the convinience(?) store.
And then they drive away and the gas station accidentally blows up. And so, after all other people blew stuff up, mainly Carrie Fisher (who was once Dan Ayrkroyd's girlfriend at that time, I believe), the Blues Brothers accidentally blow something up themselves; however, they seem oblivious to the whole explosion.
But that's not what I'm getting at. What I'm getting at is this: did they kill someone with the gas station explosion? Because wouldn't the guy who runs the gas station store be in there or not? Because if he was, and if he was killed, then Elwood and Jake would have murder on top of fleeing from the cops and...basically fleeing from the cops.
I've always wondered about that. But I sitll love the movie all the same.
Another thing: it would've been awesome if John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd were in an episode of The Muppet Show. Just think if that did happen and how it would've turned out. Because Peter Sellers was in an episode.
And here endeth my post because I have nothing else to talk/rant on about.
