I feel like I should update. Because I haven't in a long time.
I've been reading my friends page and doing mostly challenges for the land comms I'm in (and dude, I actually won first place in one challenge! and an icon I made for another challenge got 4th place which, you know, is awesome for me because I think of myself as a crappy icon maker) but other than that nothing is really happening in my life.
Other than school and watching Doctor Who, HIMYM, and Deadliest Catch (sadly, those are the only three shows I watch on a daily basis at the moment. There was a time when I watched more. Of course, there was a time when I was in high school and not at university and they were very lax in giving out homework in high school as compared to university).
School's fine. I think I'm failing statistics at the moment and the only way to really bring up my grade in the class is to focus on studying for tests and doing the homework (which I do. I just need to make sure every problem is correct). Because I would rather want to get at least a B in that class other than a C. (Honestly, I'm still haunted by those two calculus classes I took at community college. Those classes really killed math for me.)
The last two Doctor Who episodes have blown my mind like Inception did.
But it's a good blowing of my mind. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
( Doctor Who-6.1/6.2 )
So about four weeks ago or something like that I finally saw The Godfather for the first time ever.
(Yes, I am that slow on getting around to watching classic films. Unless there's something about a film that makes me interested in watching it I usually don't watch films that I'm not interested in. I still haven't seen Avatar yet.)
It wasn't as good as Citizen Kane, IMO. Then again, The Godfather didn't have rosebud in it or the pterodactyls. (There were really. In one scene. The background was like taken from another film.)
Anyway, that's what basically happened to me since April 16: school, watching some shows, hanging out with friends and watching The Godfather. Also, I discovered recently that the Sci-Fi club still exists at the high school I attended. Which is just completely awesome. For some reason I thought it'd die after Sarah graduated but the fact that it's still alive really says something about the club, IMO.
