I hate technology...
I think my laptop just died out on me.

Or it did something.

IDK.  Every time I turn it on it displays 'hard drive does not exist' or something to that effect.

Great.  My first laptop survived longer than Aramis :/ IDK what that says about the quality of my first laptop (last time I checked it worked fine-turned on fine, the disc drive doesn't work though, and it can't get on the Internet, but at least it never died on me).  My second laptop?  Also died on me.  (That'll teach me to play the Sims 2 on a laptop).

Sometimes I just really hate technology.

RIP Aramis-you were an awesome laptop.  Big and bulky, but your 1440x900 screen size displayed wallpaper majestically.  (I forgot when I got it...2008? 2007?  I forgot.  I want to say 2008.)  Ah, never mind, I remember: 2009.  Sometimes I wonder why I ever bother getting laptops when all they do is die on me :/

At least I still have Quinn (my small laptop.  Doesn't play discs but it works well.  And it displays wallpaper sort of as nicely as Aramis did but not quite as big).  And my desktop computer that my brother gave me.

So...I guess I'll go read for school.

(I am thankful I was saving everything to my external hard drive prior to the crash.  LOL.  I think I got everything important.  All my TV shows I downloaded, wallpaper, icons.  Nothing missing, near as I can tell.  Though this now makes me want to back up my external hard drive.  Computer crashing makes me highly paranoid.

Although that Blues Brothers music vid I made a while back I forgot to transfer.  Oops.  And damn.)

I'm hopeful that when I turn the laptop back on in the morning it'll magically work again.  Though part of me is saying that if I turned my laptop on repeatedly for about five times in a row and all those times there was a screen with the words 'hard disk not exist' then turning it on in the morning probably won't be any different.  But one can hope.

I'll ask my brother about it tomorrow.  He knows infinitely more than me about computers.  Maybe he can fix it.  He practically built his own desktop computer (ordered various components and put the tower together, geeky stuff like that).  Maybe he can fix Aramis for me.  Hopefully.
