Thank God it's Friday (and other things)
It's scary; I'm addicted to the John William's score, March from 1941 (the film 1941...now I want to rent the film...just 'cause I hear it's funny and I hear it's bad but I want to decide that for myself...and 'cause of the score.  The frakking score.  Stuck in my head, it is.)

Thank God it's Friday.  But, curse me, for I fell asleep at 7:30 tonight (it was a nap...), woke up to find my parents have gone to bed and I missed the first seven minutes of Ghost Whisperer.  Maybe I should try going to bed earlier these nights...

and The Dead Zone?  Awesome.  I love it.  It's good.  It's my new fave show.  Now I want season one.  (Alas, I have to wait until Christmas/birthday.  Although my birthday is five days before Christmas, so birthday, so far.)

Oh yeah, remember that Scram Latin Convention I went to last Saturday and complained how I didn't win anything?  Just joking about that whole 'didn't win' thing...turns out I did win something.  The teacher just didn't look hard enough in the packet (bad Holmes! bad Holmes!).  Yeah...I won first place...in reading comprehension.  Advanced reading comprehension.  And I swear to you, and to God, I only made guesses on that one.  Okay, sure, educated guesses, and those two things about the Druids I knew from studying Beowulf in English class but the rest...I guessed.  Frakking guessed, right?  And I still manage to get first place for some odd reason.

That is against the order of the universe, me winning first place in advanced reading comprehension.  I mean, Sarah?  Okay, she won second in Vocab and third in Readin Comp.  I mean I shouldn't even had won first place.  'Cause Sarah is so much smarter but I won.  First place.  I actually beat her in something.

I'm still trying to get that in my head.  I beat Sarah.  She who is smarter than me in Latin...and I got first place.  And she got third.

Damn.  I'm not usually good at guessing but I guess luck was with me that day.

Yeah, that first place ribbon?  Blue, shiny, and so totally mine.  (Thank you God!  Now I can show it off to my friends at choir...against order of universe, against order of universe, against...)
