Well, I called in a got the baby-sitting job. I was a bit nervouse at first, but my fears faded away and I called and got the job for this Friday. Go me...

Anyway, Mom baby-sat the kids before. I'm dealing with Andreas, age 7, and Natalia, age 5. They know me...if they have a good memory, that is, and I barely know them, but if I can watch Kaleb then I can surely watch two kids. (The family is Canadian--I hardly knew that. I was surprised when mom told me that, as I hardly heard an accent when I spoke to Karen, the mother. I wasn't shocked, but more surprised, sort of a 'what are they doing out here in the US then?' 'cause Mom told me that they had no immediate family around them, much less in the US.)(And Karen has rocks...lots of rocks, and dinosaur bones!)(I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was younger--my dreams were shattered when both Mom and Dad told me that it hardly paid money, but hey...I'm leaving that job open for the future in case I still want to scrounge around in the dirt digging up dinosaur bones.)

Well, I drove again...with mom. (I think my driving has caused her to acquire a few more gray hairs.) Anyway, it all went well (once I was on the road, though). I won't mention the incident in Laurence (or maybe it's Lawrence...hmm) Square, however, as it was cramped and I was driving the Suburban. I like smaller cars. They're easier to handle.

Anyway, so I drove. Mom said she saw a convinence to letting me drive, as me driving means she doesn't have to drive anymore, seeing as she has a bad knee and all. Okay, so we...okay, I, drove down to Barnes and Noble and picked up a couple books because I'm nearly finished with Michael Crichton's Disclosure. I picked up Life of Pi by Yann Martel (it's supposed to be really good, I heard, from Aunt Kathleen and Merry) and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon. Merry was reading it up at Lake Tahoe constantly and I thought, 'Hmm...might as well pick it up to read it.'

Next time I go to Barnes and Noble (which will be this month because, hello, Angel magazine) I really want to search for this one Agatha Christie book that Mom said was really good and possibly the manga Dragon Knights once I finish volume 2...or maybe just the magazine only.

If I get money, what I want to do with it (from this Friday's baby-sitting job) is spend it on Tru Calling season 2 because obviously I'm a geek to love the show :D and I'm afraid that they'll stop making the DVDs! I know I can get it at Best Buy, but on Amazon only 1 was for sale...which, frankly, both surprised and worried me. Or possibly I'll get another Angel book with Doyle in it, as I've got six Angel books with Doyle in them left to get.
