I'm going to make it a 'post pictures from the two concerts I went to in October' and 'Christmas is just around the corner!' kind of post today.

(And I have been so bad at updating -_- just...I need to get back on updating at least once a week.  I'm reading my friends list though.  It's just I haven't felt like typing anything at all.)

First, pictures.  From those two concerts I went to in October (and I'm only getting around to posting them now).

And now photos from the Mika concert.

Anyway, now it's time for the 'yay Christmas is just around the corner!' section of this post.

I would do a Christmas list (like I did some years back) but there's nothing really that I want.  Also, my birthday is coming up (on Thursday).  If I had to pick something to get, I would probably want icons and wallpaper (Arthur/Eames, Clint/Coulson, Clint/Steve (most recently.  IDEK), Chiana, Doyle--just to name a few of my favorite ships and characters).  But really, I'm not really asking for anything at all.  (Mostly because I just feel awkward as hell leaving a list of items that I want on my LJ.)

In fandom news, I've been watching Happy Days lately (via Netflix).  I must admit that I like it.  It's just so hilarious, in a charming kind of way.  And plus it's a classic show, which is one of the reason why I even wanted to watch it (also, Fonzie is awesome/amazing).

I've recently started watching The Hour, this BBC show that reminds me very much of Mad Men, without Don Draper.  And with more British actors that I recognize from other various BBC shows.  I'm still on episode 1 but so far I like it.  And the actor who's in it played Q in Skyfall so I was all, 'Yay Q!' because I really liked Q from Skyfall 0_0

And last night I decided to watch Rent, because it's been so long since I watched it, and I really forgot how good it was.

It being near Christmas and all, I have plans to watch all the great Christmas movies: Muppet Christmas Carol, A Christmas Story (which I practically know by heart but it's one of those nostalgic movies I just have to watch, no matter how many times I've seen it), and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (also another nostalgic movie).

I'm also including both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  My friend has a tradition she does where she watches all three Lord of the Rings films on Christmas Eve (or something like that) and I figured I'd start my own tradition of watching HP and the DH.  Only because I just really like those films.

Speaking of Harry Potter, I'm re-reading the series and so I'm slightly obsessed with HP again.  I still have to say that book #5 is my favorite.  I still don't like book #4 (no Quidditch--I think that's the reason why I don't like it).  Prisoner of Azkaban is just all kinds of nostalgic because that's the first HP book I read (back when I was in elementary school.  I remember we had this large pirate ship--toy pirate ship, with a slide and a water cannon--and it was near Halloween, I believe, and I was sitting on the grass under a part of the ship that had an overhang and I was reading PoA and not understanding what the hell was going on but it was really good and I liked it.  And everything else after that, in terms of what books I read, is just a blur).  I like Half-Blood Prince but I hate the romance.  And I like Deathly Hallows because I'm weird that way.

I'm also re-reading The Dresden Files series.  I'm currently on book #4.  I bought the most recent novel (Cold Days) and I haven't read it yet because I need to refresh my memory of the Dresden 'verse, because there's too much stuff going on in the world that sometimes I'm just a bit confused as to who's who and what's what.  (I did flip through the book looking for Thomas and yay at the Thomas!  But I haven't read it.  Except for the parts with Thomas in them.)

Another thing I'm reading is manga.  I just picked up Gate 7 (this new series by Clamp, who also did Chobits, Cardcaptor Sakura (my favovorite manga), xxxHolic, X/1999, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chonicles.  Needless to say, I read quite a lot of their series).  It's a bit dense, with lots of references to historical figures and events, but I love it so much, especially Tachibana and Sakura.

And that's basically what I've been reading lately.

Oh, and I dyed my hair red ^_^ what with my hair being so short and all, it's near impossible to get highlights in it, and so I decided to go with dying, and I wanted it red after having worn this Columbia (Rocky Horror) costume for Halloween and wearing a red auburn-ish wig.
