My mom asked me if I could download Thor for her because she wanted to see the scene with Hawkeye and Phil in it.  Apparently she's heard about Clint/Coulson and was curious as to why people were shipping them in the first place and figured seeing the scene from Thor would help her try to figure out why so many people shipped them.

I told her I had downloaded the scene from Youtube (thank God for DownloadHelper for Firefox) and I gave it to her and she watched it but she still couldn't understand why people shipped Clint/Coulson.  (She's also watched Inception and didn't understand the awesomeness of Arthur/Eames.  Which, as a big Arthur/Eames fan, I just can't even fathom.)

But she's trying.  I think the last big fandom she was in and was a massive fan of was The Sentinel, though I don't know if she ever shipped Jim/Blair, but she was well aware of the subtext in that show and that fandom.

Which brings me to a discussion about ships.  Mainly, my favorite ships.  I tend to stay away from the squeeing about ships on this journal (any squeeing I do I'm not at all vocal about on the Internet or RL.  It's more of an internalized squee).

So, um, yeah.  My Favorite Ships: Not in Chronological Order Because I Hate Figuring Out Which One is #1 (I'm conflicted).  Most of them are just fanon ships--some of them are canon, but mostly it's fanon.  I've included fic recs for three of the ships and the rest are ships I like but I don't read a whole lot of fanfiction about.

Also, I'll be going to Las Vegas on Sunday, so IDK how much I can update from there.  It'll probably depend on if I have my laptop with me and if I'm really busy with checking out various things in Las Vegas.  (It'll be my first time there).  Though I promise I'll post any pictures I will be taking because I know that when it comes to posting pictures and saying I'll post them, I'm really bad (I know I still haven't comleted posting pics from that whole England trip from last year).  But this time I'll try to make an effort.
