I find it sort of silly that the school district my parents teach at are now having a week off for Thanksgiving break when last year they didn't have that at all.
UCI fails in that regard. We still have school for three days this week.
Oh well. I think that's mostly because the quarter didn't start until late September so we have to have more days of school to make up for the late start.
Anyway, the other day I finished the big bang challenge for TVRealm (a land comm I'm in) and I'm still in the habit of posting challenges in my journal doing the 'date out of order' so it won't show up on the friend's list. (Though I'm thinking of changing that. IDK. I'm just so hesitant to even share anything I make nowadays.)
But anyway, you can find fanmixes, picspams, drabbles, and icons here, I'm really proud of how a few of the icons turned out. I think I'm getting used to masking and using various textures on PSP. Which, you know, considering how I just discovered how to do masking a few months ago (a fail on my part--I've had my PSP since, IDK, when I was in high school and I'm still learning new stuff I can do with pictures).
I won't bore you with details of masking and layers and textures and icon talk.
For my epic Buffy re-watch, I decided to finish my re-watch of season 1 that I started back in September and that I had stopped due to school. I'm almost finished re-watching the season. There are some episodes that's been way too long since I last saw it before I re-watched it. Such as The Pack and I Robot, You Jane. Before the season 1 re-watch, I had forgotten when I had last watched those episodes. (And I actually forgot the last time I actually sat down to watch Buffy. That was a couple years ago, IIRC. Re-watching the show is definitely renewing my interest in the fandom, albeit slightly.)
I think my favorite episode from season 1 and the one that feels most definitely Buffy and not at all cheesy is The Puppet Show. That's probably the best episode of the season, besides for Angel, of course.
Also, I have no idea why I called it my epic Buffy re-watch. But it's called that now. I think after I finish my epic Buffy re-watch, I'll do an epic Angel re-watch and an epic Firefly re-watch and then I'll get around to actually finishing watching Farscape and Man From U.N.C.L.E.
I just want to get all this re-watching of TV shows out of the way first.
