I haven't been updating a lot because there's nothing interesting going on so far in my life.

(Except for in my neighborhood.  Yesterday Wednesday, now that this entry is a day late (I overuse the 'type something, let LJ save it, and retrieve it later feature'), something happened three blocks from my house that made it on the news.  Plus there were helicopters.  And SWAT officers.  And police cars.  And it was on the news.  We were all like, 'Oh, that street, the one we travel down every single day almost!  And that's only like close to our house within walking distance!'

It wasn't that exciting :/

Funny thing about it, though, my cousin and cousin-in-law were visiting from Virginia and they seemed quite excited they were in town when something news-worthy was going on.)

Other than that, nothing else exciting happened.

As I mentioned, my cousin was visiting.  The last time I saw her was in 2004.  This was the second time I've seen her.  (I never see my cousins from Virginia all that much, because they're in Virginia and I'm in California.  And that's mostly why.)  It was nice.  We had homemade pizzas (my mom makes the dough and we all pick our own toppings and then we grill it.  My dad wanted to get an actual brick pizza oven to cook the pizza in but then we discovered the grill works just as nice) and chocolate fondue (so good) and we talked.  Well, me, not so much with the talking, because when socializing I fail at talking a lot (only a little bit).

Other than the incident in the neighborhood and family visiting, nothing else exciting has happened.

I got so many new icons from people during the Whedonland gift giving extravaganza.  (So much that I decided to just go ahead and get a paid account so I can have more icon space to show off said pretty shiny icons.)  But yay new icons!

I've been reading a lot and recently finished Inkheart.

I need to take a day and just catch up on shows.  Mainly Burn Notice, because that's a lot of episodes I have to watch.  And White Collar and Eureka.
