"My omelet is non-judgmental."
Probably the best quote I have heard all summer (re: subject box).  Anyway, I'm back from the trip.  Lake Tahoe was fun!  First of all, it wasn't as humid as it is down here (in Tustin) and all my cousins were nice.  (Well, when aren't they nice?)  I shared a room with Merry (again) but it was all right--she and I still talked to each other, we just didn't hang out with each other like we used to (okay, like I used to.  And we talked to Grandma about the lake view--hopefully I'll get it next year because damn! was the room hot this year, that, plus the fact that people were drinking in the cabin above us.)

Yes, people actually brought beer to the cabin that was above ours.  See, our cabin rests on a mountain.  There's a semi-long trail above us that leads to the Zephyr buildings up the trail, the one where you check in and all.  And there are also more cabins up that semi-long trail.  And one night people were drinking, which isn't really allowed at Zephyr Cove.  So the next morning, at breakfast, either Matt or one of the cousins or someone brings up the subject, and then it leads into a 'Storm the place with rocks!  With water balloons!  Fill the rocket launcher with the ice from the water balloons and shoot at the cabin!'  Yeah, Micah brought his rocket launcher again this year--we were talking about launching the ice into the lake but I didn't see it.  If they ever did it or ever are going to do it.

We're crazy.  Us--my family and cousins.  We're all crazy.  We were the kind of kids who trapped chipmunks and squirrels into home-made traps and had fun doing it.  We were the kind who launched ice from a rocket launcher into a lake.  We're the kind of kids who actually killed a chipmunk using a non-homemade trap.  Did I mention we're a very eccentric family?

Okay, picture time!

What else?  Oh yeah, I got paid.  $5,000.  Apparently both grandma and granpa invested in a lot of property in Texas and Las Vegas and they're getting a lot of money and they want to give it away so they don't have to pay taxes.  That was in layman's terms; don't ask me to explain it all financially.
