I am so psyched about Serenity. Only 19 more days to go and, knowing from past experiences, school will ultimately keep me busy until the 30th of September (plus, school makes everything go fast...literally).
So, anyway, I picked up the Sci-Fi Magazine yesterday, only because we were at the Barnes and Noble near Mainplace Mall, and that bookstore is two stories (it's even got its own psychology section! The Barnes and Noble in the Tustin Market Center doesn't even have that! And they have this large section of Sci-Fi books and manga...only they have Dragon Knights volumes 1-3, and the other bookstore has more, so that's the downside...I wonder if they have the Firefly comics...we can go back this Tuesday 'cause of the Serenity magazine being released and all, so hopefully I can wander around the book store again, 'cause I love it...)
Okay, back to Sci-Fi magazine (I love Barnes and Noble. If I had to live somewhere, it would have to be at Barnes and Noble). In the Sci-Fi Magazine they had a section on Firefly! Only 2 pages or so, but it was still good (one reason why I picked up the magazine). Also, they have an interview with Joss Whedon, Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica), and David Goyer (Batman Begins, Threshold). Anyway, so it's like a threesome interview.
Besides that, Sci-Fi Magazine also takes the time to review each new sci-fi show coming out this year. Shows that look good and sound good, to me, are Superantural, Invasion, Night Stalker, Threshold, and Surface (five out of six shows aren't bad--they also reviewed a show called Ghost Whisperer, but it doesn't sound that good).
So it seems that this year will be, undoubtedly, a good year for sci-fi shows to make their appearance amongst networks. I mean, for example that I'm so ecstatic about this fall, I wrote out a TV schedule. The only day that doesn't have any new episodes of any new shows on is Saturday. Besides all the new shows coming out, I also want to try Prison Break (it looks good), Veronica Mars (apparently, Joss praises it), Battlestar Galactica (okay, so I may be late, but still, it looks good), and Numbers (I caught an episode one night and it was good. Interesting premise).
