What is it with everyone liking Methos in Highlander?

That was the enternal question. Why doesn't everyone like Richie? He's likable enough. Methos doesn't have that zip-idi-do-da wonderful day thing Disney character like...that didn't make any since, ignore that last sentence. Methos is too old.

Now that I have the DVD (still grinning--can't help it. I love the music.) I can watch the beginning. And now I realize why Judas hung himself--he was used. He came to the men in black with good intentions, feeling that Jesus drove him to go to them. He just wanted simple--done and done. No money, nothing. What they gave him was 30 pieces of silver and Jesus' life. Judas had no idea that what he had done would cause the death of Jesus, so basically he was innocent for that. What Jesus meant by Judas betraying him was the Kiss of Betrayal Judas gave him. That was the betrayal. Judas had to kiss the person whow was Jesus so the evil men could do their...'duty'. That's Judas's betrayal on Jesus. Don't make me get started on Peter, now, 'cause I don't think he was all there when he was praising Jesus. But that's just me. Most people would like Peter, but I like Judas and his whole complicated betrayal/redemption factor. I saw a lot more of him in the movie.

Of course, I stopped watching the movie for a bit of Highlander (hmm...shirtless Stan...anyone else getting hot in here?)
